Hyderabadi Veg Biryani or Authentic Vegetable Biryani

Ingredients Required (2 -3 persons)

  • 200 gms Rice
  • 2 medium sized Onions
  • 1 medium sized Potato
  • 50 gms. french beans
  • 7 -8 small slices of cauliflowers
  • 2 -3 cloves of garlic
  • 200 gms of Thick Curd
  • 2 -3 cloves
  • 1 teaspoon mirchi powder
  • 1 teaspoon haldi powder
  • salt to taste
  • ITC Hyderabadi Biryani Masala
  • 1/4th tsp garam masala powder
  • 1/2 spoon black pepper (Kali Mirch)
  • Food Color orange and yellow

Steps to Prepare

cut all potato, tomato, cauliflower and french beans into pieces

cut onions into large pieces and fry them till golden brown in pan.

heat oil in pan, Saute potato, tomato, cauliflower and french beans into it.

after 4- 5 minutes add some water to tender veggies.

Add mirch , salt to taste, turmeric in it and stir it well.

Add ITC Hyderabadi biryani masala and mix it well.

Add curd into it and again stir it well.

wash and soak rice for 15 minutes. Add more water into Rice and keep it on low flame.

Add few drops of oil on it

Check time to time and strain it 1 minute before it tender completely

Separate rice in 3 portions

Add yellow color in one portion

Add orange color in another portion

And Keep rest of the rice white only.

now take one Borosil Container and stat layering to prepare Biryani

Add masala layer first

second layer white rice

Add few yellow rice on it

Add few orange rice on it

Add again masala on it and repeat these laying step for 3 times , last layer look like below image

microwave it for 2 minutes.

serve it in plate . biryani is ready.
